Hello Nancy,
I'm sorry to hear that Matthew is not progressing as quickly as you had hoped, but I'm glad to hear that he is off the respirator. That is a huge step in the right direction. I remember when I was off the respirator and every time I took a breath, you could hear the crackling in my lungs. It would freak my father out, but it usually means that the secretions are breaking up, which is a good thing. Hopefully that is what is happening with Matthew. I will continue to keep you all in my prayers and that with each passing day you see great improvement in Matthews health. May G-d hold you in His hands and guide your son home to you.
All my love and prayers,
Judy

We are so pleased to hear that matt is breathing on his own, and hopefully this is just the first of many good newsbreaks to come. Our hearts are with you now and always. We love and miss you, and can't wait for matt to return to us!

Stay strong, we love you.

xoxo

Dear Nancy,

I am so glad Matthew is off the respiration. When my son was in a coma, someone very dear used to repeat to me "Baby steps..." That's what I'm saying to you. Please hold on and be strong. I know you have been so much and your heart breaks.

I am still praying for you. I prayed for you and Matthew at 3 different churches this weekend, as a matter of fact!

Baby steps... baby steps.... Rosemary
