Hi To the Irving Family,

I am glad Matthew is still doing so much better but I understand the setbacks and frustrations. While you are making progress, is seems then that something else comes up or becomes another "issue" that needs to be dealt with. I know all situations are different, but for me, it took at least a year for me to get to the point that is wasn't such a roller coaster ride. There were huge ups followed by huge downs. It seems now, that after about 14 months, somethings have leveled out and we found some of what will be "normal" for me and some of what was just temporary. At the time, it was impossible to sort it out. I will keep you all, especially Matthew in my prayers ! May God bless you and keep you in the new year.

Love In Christ,

Dearest Nancy,
You, Matt and your entire family have been in my prayers. I'm so unbelievably happy to hear that Matt is doing so much better in so many ways, but my heart breaks for him that the RSD in his feet and now leg are not improving as you would have liked. I have been to HSS many times, both for surgeries and for treatments for RSD. It is truly as a whole, the best hospital I have ever been to. You will definitely be in good hands there. I hope that whatever the next course of action will be for Matt's treatment, that it go smoothly and that it be completely successful. I continue to pray daily for the future that Matthew deserves and know that when the time is right, G-d will give him that wonderful and pain-free life. I will continue to pray for all of you, as does and will every member of my family, daily and hope that there are only positive posts from here on out.
Love and prayers always,
Judy Hopkins

HI Nancy and Matt!

I certainly understand that when you have so much to deal with you have to put all of your energy into treatment and survival as you already are in short supply of it! You do what you need to do when you are in that situation! We just all wanted to you to know that we were praying and certainly have not forgotten you! Thank you for the update and I will certainly be continuing to pray for Matt! RSD is a nasty disease but thank the Lord for Dr S! We are all praying for you!

Love In Christ,

Lindsay Spengler (coma patient #7 in Mexico)

I have a quote that I love that I hope you will find as encouraging as I do!

"Your ability to help others heal is limited to where you've been wounded ... No
one rolls out the red carpet and invites tragedy into their life, but our
greatest gifts and passions are often the byproduct of our worst tragedies and
failures."

Matt has been through so much but I have no doubt God has HUGE plans for him! Hang in there! If passion comes from tragedy, you will have more passion than you know what to do with!!!

Hi Matt and Nancy!

I am so glad to hear that Matthew got some relief! I know that that is 16 hours of heaven for a severe RSD patient! Praise God for that! I will be praying that the five day infusion and blocks go well and that he gets more relief! We are praying for you always! And Matt, as always I admire your courage and strength! I know how hard that is, especially if the pain is returning. It is very scary.

Love In Christ,

Hi Matt and Nancy!

I am so sorry that is has been such a rough road! The ups and downs are exhausting I know! In different ways than before! Know that you are in my prayers and am so happy to head Dr S is back tomorrow! I will also keep him and the other docs in my prayers for wisdom as they decide what step to take next. God has brought Matt this far and I know He will not stop now though it is hard to make sense of anything that is happening!

I am praying for all of you as you take yet another step in this painful journey. May the Lord bless and protect you. May the Lord bring complete healing to you, Matthew, in Philadephia.

Hey guys,
Well, i am glad you made it home. As hard as i'm sure it is to leave, it will hopefully bring Matthew a miracle to him, and make him better.
Matthew, you can do it buddy!

Hi To All!

I am glad to hear you all made it home safely! I am sorry that Matt has to be admitted but I know that we are all blessed to have a goal for us that he will not rest until you are pain free and/or at least back "into life" in Dr. Schwartzman's words! There are a lot of docts that are satisfied with "better" even if it is very small. KNow that you are constantly in my prayers!

Love In Christ,

Matthew, you did it buddy! I am so proud of you. You made it through, and things will without a doubt get even better for you.
We have steped up our tribute to Matthew on the station this weekend, in the hopes of making him feel good again.
We all love you.

Hi Matthew, Nancy and Daniel!

I am happy to hear that Matt is in the hotel! I am sorry to hear that he is still having to much pain in his leg! I cannot imagine how hard that is for you all! I love the quote that you had posted! I love quotes and draw so much strength from them! One of my favorite that is such a reminder to me. "Trust God in advance for things that will only makes sense in reverse." I know that you are all doing that and I know how hard that is! I know God has Matthew in His hands and know that he has a reason for all of this. Though it is very hard to understand this side of heaven! I too, know that HE has HUGE plans for you Matt! Keep up the fight!
