A doctor in Ft Lauderdale is now doing the ketamine coma. My Dr here has been using IV Ketamine with Bier blocks and has helped my RSD tremendously. It is a rotten thing to have !! Blessings, Joanne

Hi Matt and Nancy!

I am so sorry that is has been such a rough road! The ups and downs are exhausting I know! In different ways than before! Know that you are in my prayers and am so happy to head Dr S is back tomorrow! I will also keep him and the other docs in my prayers for wisdom as they decide what step to take next. God has brought Matt this far and I know He will not stop now though it is hard to make sense of anything that is happening!

Love In Christ,

Lindsay Spengler (coma patient #7 in Mexico)

Hey guys,
Well, i am glad you made it home. As hard as i'm sure it is to leave, it will hopefully bring Matthew a miracle to him, and make him better.
Matthew, you can do it buddy!

Hi To All!

I am glad to hear you all made it home safely! I am sorry that Matt has to be admitted but I know that we are all blessed to have a goal for us that he will not rest until you are pain free and/or at least back "into life" in Dr. Schwartzman's words! There are a lot of docts that are satisfied with "better" even if it is very small. KNow that you are constantly in my prayers!

Love In Christ,

Matthew, you did it buddy! I am so proud of you. You made it through, and things will without a doubt get even better for you.
We have steped up our tribute to Matthew on the station this weekend, in the hopes of making him feel good again.
We all love you.

Hi Matthew, Nancy and Daniel!

I am happy to hear that Matt is in the hotel! I am sorry to hear that he is still having to much pain in his leg! I cannot imagine how hard that is for you all! I love the quote that you had posted! I love quotes and draw so much strength from them! One of my favorite that is such a reminder to me. "Trust God in advance for things that will only makes sense in reverse." I know that you are all doing that and I know how hard that is! I know God has Matthew in His hands and know that he has a reason for all of this. Though it is very hard to understand this side of heaven! I too, know that HE has HUGE plans for you Matt! Keep up the fight!

Hello All,
I just had the pleasure of meeting Melissa yesterday at Dr. S's office. We were both getting our 2 week booster from after the coma. I got back from Mexico on 8/2. She had wonderful things to say about you all. Although I teased her that I had air conditioning in my hospital room, we shared a few good stories and will continue to keep in touch.
I know Matthew will do well. It's frustrating when the doc is away but hang in there. Keep up the great work everyone.
Best wishes,
Carrie Deussing

Hey Stud!

It's about time we got to see a smile on that gorgeous face of yours! We miss and love you more than words could ever express, and I can't wait until you guys are back home and I get to come harrass you all the time. Your progress brought such joy to us over these last two weeks and I guess it's true that a picture is worth a thousand words. We love you matt, congratulations.

Hi Matthew!

What a joy it is to see you sitting up with a big smile on your face, next to Dan! Thanks be to God, you're making wonderful progress, however gradual it is. You're an inspiration to me. I'll always have a fond memories of what excellent and caring students both Dan and you were in my fourth grade class. Little did I know that you'd both grow into such outstandin young men! You've faced an adversity that most of us will never experience in our lifetimes! However, your faith in God has been rewarded, and I know you will continue to be healed and inspire many, many people throughout the world, thanks to the wonders of the Internet and ultimately, the power of prayer.
God bless you and your brother and your wonderful parents!
                    Your fourth grade teacher,
                    Anne Marie McDonnell Vale

Although we have never met I have journeyed with you and rejoice with you and your family at your improved condition. I loved the picture of you and Dan ; it truly was worth the proverbial thousand words!

You have touched so many folks that you may never meet in this lifetime, Matt. When the time comes for the Lord to show you the impact you've had you will be in for a very big surprise!!
